At Slingshot, our idea at success is helping our partners bring game-changing ideas to life. Recently, the Slingshot team participated in the UPS Plane Pull presented by Brightspring in support of Special Olympics Kentucky.
The UPS Plane Pull is an exciting event that brings our community together as competitors to support 8,900 athletes in Louisville and across the state. Each team competed to see who can pull a 124,000-pound UPS Boeing 757 cargo plane 12 feet in the fastest time.
“Our team always enjoys competition, and when we can give back to others – that’s icing on the cake” said David Galownia, CEO of Slingshot.
We were so excited to participate with our Slingshot team, clients, friends, and family. Together, we managed to pull the cargo plane more than 12 feet! We didn’t win the trophy, but we raised some good money for SOKY, and that’s winning enough for us. Between our friends, family and team members, we raised $2,415!
If you ask us, the entire event was an incredible success! Great competition, fundraising and community always makes for a great time. In total, the event raised $86,415.44. We can’t wait until next year for an even bigger turnout!
