The Story

C2 Keep was founded by Roland, a pharmacist for over ten years. Working at various independent pharmacy locations, he experienced first-hand the challenges of maintaining compliance with controlled substance regulations. Paper logbooks were often used, and errors and inconsistencies were common, putting pharmacies at risk of non-compliance penalties.

After initially working with a different tech group to build the solution, the product could never reach a production-ready state. He turned to Slingshot to finish the job, attracted by our healthcare experience, broad skills in design and development, and extensive experience.

The Challenges

The Solutions 
Independent pharmacies had no digital solution for controlled substance compliance. Built a web-based SaaS platform to track controlled substance inventory compliantly.
Manual logging processes led to errors in inventories and record keeping. Digitized the logging and inventory tracking process to reduce errors.
Pharmacists were responsible for policing doctors, patients, and staff but lacked adequate tools. Provided pharmacists with digital tools such as FDA-compliant reports, audit capabilities, and robust tracking.
State-mandated audits and biennial reports can take hours, requiring manual record-keeping and review. Automated 90-day audits and DEA biennial inventory reports, reducing audit time to minutes.
Tracking controlled substances outside a pharmacy’s standard pharmacy management system can lead to inconsistencies in inventory counts. Build multiple direct integrations with pharmacy management systems to maintain accurate perpetual inventory and track dispenses automatically.
